Pierce Brosnan opens the door to James Bond return with new comments

22-Sep-2005 • Casino Royale

Speaking at a Toronto hotel bar where he sat for interviews on his latest film, the sharp, comical hit-man tale, "The Matador", Pierce Brosnan opened up on the current status of the James Bond role.

"The door is slowly closing because people keep asking me about it. Until someone like Daniel Craig steps in or until someone like whomever the next man is or until they ask me back the story is still open."

"For me it’s unfinished business and we might get to stand there again."

Brosnan's latest comments follow recent hints that he is prepared to step back into the tuxedo for a fifth time if the call from the producers comes.

MI6 reported ten days ago that Sony were applying pressure to bring back Brosnan as Bond.
