Gulshan Grover to play a villain in Casino Royale?

03-Oct-2005 • Casino Royale

The Times of India are reporting that their own countryman Gulshan Grover will be the villain for Casino Royale. Earlier this year MI6 reported that Grover had attended a casting interview. No official announcement has been made about who will play the villain.

Returning from Malaysia he said that at least 300 hopefuls have been considered for the role of Bond, and no decisions has yet been made. "I met the producers in LA a week ago; they will be announce who Bond 6 is on 007.com soon. He will be heading to Prague in January to begin filming."

"The villain is usually charismatic and has a significant role. In many Bond films, the heroine is the villain's love interest." Grover described the character as the ultimate villain.

The crew for the 21st bond film continues to expand as production moves ever closer. Many crew members who have served under director Martin Campbell return from his past 13th major project.

As reported last month the stunt team is being added to under Gary Powell as he returns to the Bond franchise as a co-ordinator. He worked on Goldeneye on the elaborate tank chase sequence and the Q-boat aerial spin for the opening of The World is Not Enough.

After finish Campbell’s last adventure The Legend of Zorro renown editor Stuart Baird replaces Christian Wagner who cut Die Another Day.
