Stuart Baird joins Casino Royale as editor

Stuart Baird has been named as editor on "Casino Royale", the 21st James Bond film due to begin shooting in January 2006.

Baird has worked as an editor on a multitude of films, including Superman, Lethal Weapon, Mission: Impossible II, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and most recently The Legend of Zorro with director Martin Campbell.

He has also directed three films, the most well known being "Star Trek: Nemesis" when he was promoted from editor to helm the picture.

Baird joins the ranks of "Casino Royale" teamsters from the Martin Campbell stable, including cinematographer Phil Meheux and stunt coordinator Gary Powell.
