Real life Q to reveal secrets at charity talk, UK
Sensational secrets of James Bond's real Q will be revealed tomorrow (October 20) at a talk to help raise money for the Evan Cornish Hospice in
Louth.
Q, 007's trusty aide, was inspired by the late Charles Fraser-Smith, who once lived in Louth.
His wife, Mrs Lin Fraser-Smith, who still lives in town, will give a fascinating insight into her late husband's work with MI6, and some of the amazing gadgets he masterminded for his work.
Actor Desmond Llywelyn played the part of Q in the Bond movies, after the success of the original Ian Fleming novels.
Mrs Fraser-Smith said: "My favourite Bond was Roger Moore, mainly because he was the first one I saw."
Mr and Mrs Fraser-Smith were lucky enough to meet both Roger Moore and Desmond Llywelyn several times.
Thursday's event, A Licence to Thrill, will be held at the Holy Trinity Church Hall in Eastgate, Louth, from 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £3 (available on the door), which will include refreshments and a raffle.
