Pierce Brosnan`s appearence at NFT on October 25th cancelled

21-Oct-2005 • Event

Pierce Brosnan was scheduled to attend the 49th London Film Festival as a guest speaker.

However, the date has since been cancelled.

At the time of the original announcement, the LFT were "enormously pleased to be able to welcome Pierce Brosnan to the Festival to take part in this Times Screen Talk".

Brosnan was to present his new film, The Matador, playing in the Festival.

He plays Julien Noble, a crass, self-serving, over-wrought hit man, boozed-up beyond repair. He clearly loves the opportunity to play against type, and indeed, to play with audience preconceptions. The foul-mouthed, dishevelled Julien, is about as far removed from Bond as one could imagine.

Thanks to `Duncan` for the alert.
