The truth behind the suspected DAD poster gun goof

Ever since the first teaser poster for Die Another Day was released, many fans have suspected a huge blunder on the part of MGM and EON marketing was to blame for putting the wrong gun on the poster.

The teaser poster featured a Beretta with a smoking gun barrel resting on a melting a block of ice. Of course, James Bond shoots a Walther.

Bond Producer Michael G. Wilson told an MI6 Forums member at the recent BCS event that the poster deliberately used the Beretta as a clue to Jinx, who uses the gun in the movie - and that it was not a mistake.
