Spy gadgets of yesteryear go on display in Essex

A Collection of James Bond-style gadgets used by one of Britain's top spies is going on display. - Reports the Daily Record

"Captain Peter Mason, a senior MI5 agent, was a close pal of 007 author Ian Fleming and was thought to [sic] the model for Bond. The gadgets he and his wife Pru, also a secret agent, used include guns disguised as a pen and a half-smoked cigarette. Another gun is disguised as a lipstick - and was known as "the kiss of death".

There is also a camera built into a pack of cigarettes and a brolly that injects poison pellets.

The items are going on display at the Combined Military Services Museum in Maldon, Essex.

Captain Mason and his wife now live in Canada."
