More details on Sir Sean Connery`s forthcoming animation work as Billi The Vet
As MI6 reported last month, Sir Sean Connery has been
turned into a cartoon character.
The former James Bond star supplies the voice of a Scottish vet in new animated film Sir Billi The Vet - reports
The Scotsman.
And the character looks more than a little like him - from his grey moustache to his bald head.
Billi is a "distinguished gentleman and pillar of society" who lives in a remote village in the Scottish Highlands.
He has a series of adventures accompanied by his faithful companion Gordon the Goat, voiced by actor Alan Cumming.
Gail Porter supplies the voice for Sir Billi's daughter, single mum Lady Serena, while Ruby Wax plays a loud-mouthed American.
Richard Briers and Miriam Margolyes also appear in the cast.
The low-budget 3D CGI cartoon is being made by Glasgow Animation Ltd.
Sir Sean, 75, agreed to come out of retirement for the role because he wanted to support the Scottish film industry. It is due for completion early next summer.
A film spokeswoman said: "We are indebted to these actors and actresses for getting involved in such an independent production and believing in the project."
