Pierce Brosnan to shave off his beard following Saddam Hussein quip

Pierce Brosnan can't wait to shave off the goatee beard he grew for upcoming period movie "Seraphim Falls" after being told he resembles Saddam Hussein.

The former James Bond star admits he grew fond of his facial hair even though his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, kept calling him a goat reports Contact Music.

But when friends suggested he looked a bit like former Iraqi dictator Hussein, he knew it was time to get rid of his grizzled look.

He says, "It's coming off in a few days. It seemed like a good choice about three months ago but I've been living with it now and I look more like - so I've been told - Saddam Hussein... or Kentucky Fried Chicken (Colonel Sanders).
