Russian actress Lana Antonova linked with Vesper Lynd role

According to the usual anonymous sources at movie news site JoBlo, Russian actress Lana Antonova (The World's Fastest Indian, Eulogy, The Detective) is being courted for the role of Vesper Lynd in the forthcoming James Bond film Casino Royale.



The site's intel claims producers are looking for a blond haired beauty to contrast the dark haired Italian actress Caterina Murino who has already be cast as the villain's partner. Apparently, Antonova's time in London has allowed her to develop a believable English accent for the role - which is useful as the producers are seeking a "British" actress who can speak fluent Russian.

Australian actress Rose Byrne is still tipped as the favourite according to the site.
