Casino Royale visual effects team takes shape

07-Feb-2006 • Casino Royale

The visual effects crew on Casino Royale will be lead by two former James Bond teamsters.

Steven Begg, who worked with director Martin Campbell back in 1995 on GoldenEye, will lead the visual effects department as supervisor. His recent work includes "Batman Begins" and the two "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" movies.

Also on the team is Sharon Lark, who will be the miniature unit coordinator. She has worked in the visual effects unit for the last three Pierce Brosnan 007 movies.

Produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli (Eon Productions) and directed by Martin Campbell, CASINO ROYALE is scheduled for release November 17, 2006. Principal photography began on Friday 27th January and "lensed" on Monday 30th January 2006, with locations in the UK, Czech Republic (Prague), Italy, and the Bahamas. It will be British actor Daniel Craig’s first outing as James Bond. He is the sixth actor to play the 007 role in the franchise.
