Casino Royale co-writer wins BAFTA award
"Casino Royale" co-writer Paul Haggis won a BATFA at this weekend's awards ceremony for his work on the critically acclaimed movie "Crash".
Haggis took over the James Bond script from regular writers Purvis & Wade, who turned in the first draft. Haggis was originally announced to be performing a "3 week polish" but has been making significant re-writes over the last few months.
Haggis won the BAFTA along with "Crash" co-writer Bobby Moresco. They duo beat out the writers of "Cinderella Man", "Good Night, And Good Luck", "Hotel Rwanda" and "Mrs Henderson Presents".
