Screen legend Sir Sean Connery is to spend ten days attending the Edinburgh International Film Festival this summer, organisers have announced.
The former 007 star is patron of the festival which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
And he will host a special "60th Edition" party to mark the occasion on Saturday, August 19.
Organisers of the festival, the longest continually running film festival in the world, said this year's programme will be announced in July.
But they have already decided the event will run from Monday, August 14, to Sunday, August 27, two days longer than usual because of the anniversary.
Sir Sean is also to appear at the Festival of Politics, organised by the Scottish Parliament.
