James Bond Boats exhibition at annual Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show, June

29-May-2006 • Event

Boats used in the popular James Bond movies will make a special “one-off” appearance at this year’s Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.

The unique “Boats of Bond” exhibition will feature four of the more incredible craft used in the films, including the Tow Sled from the 1965 movie, Thunderball; the Bath-O-Sun from 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever, the Neptune Submarine from 1981’s For Your Eyes Only and the famous Q Boat from the 1979 hit, The World is Not Enough.

All of the boats on display were actually used in the making of the films!

There will also be a special exhibition of “gadgets” used by the James Bond characters.

This is a true “once in a lifetime chance” to see these incredible pieces of film history!

All of these craft are completely unique, unlike anything else in the world.

They were all specially created to wow and amaze — and are not normally on public show!

This is the first, and probably only, time they will come to New Zealand — and they will only be at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show!”

The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show 2006 is on at the Auckland Showgrounds, Greenlane, Auckland, Queens Birthday weekend, June 1-5

The show is open from 10-8pm on Thursday and Friday and from 10-6pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Over 200 exhibitors from all around New Zealand and from all sections of the marine industry will be on display.

Thanks to `Q` for the alert.
