DAD cars with new and old DB5`s to be shown at L.A. Auto Show

The cars from "Die Another Day" will be shown at the L.A. Auto Show in the USA this month.Also on show will be the classic Aston Martin DB5, along with the new 2004 edition of the famous marque (see main MI6 site for feature article):

This January at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show to commemorate its return to the Bond classics, Aston Martin will stage a special display that highlights some of the distinguished cars made famous by the consummate connoisseur.

Once immersed in the exhibit, visitors will see a variety of props and "optional equipment" that were cleverly devised for the action-packed films, as well as video highlights from some of the movies more memorable moments. The display`s centerpiece, however, will be the cars; highlighted by what many consider to be the classic James Bond car of all time - the DB5 that Sean Connery popularized in 1964`s Goldfinger and the following year in Thunderball.

Certainly not to be missed are the cars featured in Die Another Day. Alongside Bond`s (Pierce Brosnan) gadget-loaded Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, which in the film is chased around a frozen lake in Iceland, will be the Ford Thunderbird and Jaguar XKR that play supporting roles in the film.
