Eva Green says she was a reluctant Bond girl
New Bond girl Eva Green has revealed that she never wanted to be a Bond girl for fear of being typecast - reports
Entertainment Wise.
But after reading the script for âCasino Royaleâ she changed her mind and will be appearing as Vesper Lynd in the forthcoming film.
She told the Star: âMt first reaction was that it was a big action movieâ¦itâs a Bond girl and I donât want to do it.
âBut then producer Barbara Broccoli insisted that I read the script. I read it and thought it was quite unusual. I was very much surprised by the relationship Bond has with Vesper.
âSheâs not the stereotypical Bond girl. Sheâs the only woman who really gets to his heart and who shapes him.
âItâs beautiful love story. Thatâs why I wanted to do it. Not because itâs Bond.â
Green only has praise for her co-star Daniel Craig, she said: âWhat I like about Daniel is that he brings a lot of physicality to the part. Heâs very centred and has this madness sin the eyes that I like.
âYou never know what heâs going to do to you. Is he going to make love to you or kill you? You donât know. Heâs like an enigma.â
