George Lazenby to appear at Collectormania show, Milton Keynes, UK this weekend

28-Sep-2006 • Event

Collectormania will bring the crowds flocking this weekend, when the film and sci-fi extravaganza makes it to double figures in Milton Keynes, UK this weekend.

This tenth movie and media event will have a particularly special guest in attendance too: His name being Bond, James Bond.

Yup, actor George Lazenby is one of more than 30 celebrities who will 'drop in' (maybe literally, who knows) during the three-day bash which will over-run Middleton Hall and the areas close by in thecentre:mk from tomorrow.

Other stars of the Bond films who have said 'yep' to popping in to meet and greet fans include Yaphet Kotto, Burt Kwouk, Madeline Smith, Martin Beswick and Caroline Munro.

While everyone harped on about the Hoffmeister in Knight Rider, there was another chap being overlooked, but playing an equally essential role, and this weekend William Daniels – the voice of super cool car KITT – will be revved up and ready to sign for you.

Who else have we got?

There's Peter Graves who you'll know from Mission Impossible and Airplane! and David Wenham of Lord of the Rings fame.

Deep Roy has done some tasty stuff too – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Star Wars and Corpse Bride have all benefited from his talent.

There's a veritable feast of Buffy stars – Amber Benson, Juliet Landau, Elisabeth Rohm, Lindsay Crouse and Sam Anderson.

Sam's role call is longer than an unravelled Andrex roll, and all of it is good stuff – including appearances in Hill Street Blues, The X-Files, ER and currently you view him on the small screen in the mind-bendingly frustrating Lost.

I'm going to see if I can't get him to spill the beans on the engrossing show. So long as I don't get transported to a weird and wonderful hatch...

Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Marcia Wallace (aka Marcia Krabappel in The Simpsons) and recent city visitor Kate O' Mara are all coming along to meet you, and it's not only Deep Roy representing Star Wars: Dave Prowse, Jeremy Bulloch, Kenny Baker and Rusty Goffe will all be hoping that the force is with them too...

Aside from the superheroes, secret agents, alien hunters, vampire slayers and ghostbusters who will appear, there will be some 300 stands and specialist companies, offering everything from replica lightsabres to comics, cards and original posters from the greatest flicks ever made.
For the most up to date news, hit the web and go to www.collectormania.com where you'll be able to see who is signing, and when.

It's not only your autograph books that will need to be spick and span either – you'll need to be looking your best too if you want to partake in the newbie feature of having a professional picture taken with some of the guests. Stars from Aliens, James Bond and Firefly will all show their gnashers with you for the camera.
