Details on Yorkshire charity regional premiere for Casino Royale confirmed

24-Oct-2006 • Event

Yorkshire will host a regional premiere of the latest James Bond film Casino Royale to celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Royal Film Performance - reports Yorkshire Today.

The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) says it is delighted that in addition to this high-profile London event, there will also be a celebrity-studded regional premiere on November 15 at the Vue Cinema, The Light, Leeds.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of The Royal Film Performance and all funds raised from the regional premiere will be donated to the CTBF, the unique trade charity of the film and television industries.
Casino Royale is based on Ian Fleming's novel of the same name and will mark the introduction of Daniel Craig as secret agent 007.

Liz Rymer, chairman of the CTBF in Yorkshire, said: "We are delighted that Eon Productions and Sony Pictures have offered this terrific film for such a special event.
"With their help we are going to make the regional premiere of Casino Royale a remarkable fundraiser for the CTBF. This will help the CTBF continue its lifeline of support for people behind the scenes in the world of film, television and cinema."

Exclusive Diamond tickets, which include a champagne reception, film screening and the after-show party, can be obtained by contacting CTBF treasurer, Darren Smith, on 0113 222 8725.
