New 007 encyclopedia planned for late 2007, official this time around
MI6 has learned that a new 007 'encyclopedia' based on the James Bond film franchise is in the works.
The officially-backed publication is slated for a Q4 release next year, and will include an A-Z index of elements of the movies, from actors to gadgets, and locations to villains.
Other details are sketchy, but based on the information available, it appears to be a reworking of the unofficial title "The Complete James Bond Encylopedia" by Steve Rubin.
That title was first published in 1990, and later updated in 1995 and 2002. With the unofficial title weighing in at over 500 pages, fans will no doubt be eager to know if this new official publication due next year will bring anything fresh, or will just be a reheat of what has gone before. The new encyclopedia will not be written by Rubin.
If you can not wait, Rubin's title - last updated in 2002 to include "Die Another Day" - is still available to purchase (used) through Amazon.
