23-Nov-2006 • Event

David Arnold is the latest distinguished guest to participate in the International Film Music Conference to take place in Úbeda, Spain, next July - reports Soundtrack.net.

Hence, David Arnold is further joining other famed composers who previously confirmed their presence such as: Academy Award Nominee John Debney ("Passion of the Christ", 2004) as well as former European Soundtrack Council Award recipient Pascal Gaigne ("DarkBlueAlmostBlack", 2005).

The Organising Committee of the event promises to disclose more surprises soon which it anticipates will greatly please film and soundtrack enthusiasts around the world.

David Arnold

Born in 1962 in Luton, England, he is currently in the spotlight due to the release of "Casino Royale", the latest film in the 007/James Bond franchise. The original soundtrack by David Arnold is eagerly awaited by any one admirer of the popular saga penned by Ian Fleming.

This is not the first time Arnold is scoring a 007 picture. He did it already to a great success in no less than three previous occasions: "Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997), "The World is Not Enough" (1999) and "Die Another Day" (2002).

David Arnold is best-known for his rousing orchestral style; an approach particularly suited for the films he usually takes part in. His scores for "Stargate" (1994), "Independence Day" (1996), "Godzilla" (1999) and "2 Fast 2 Furious" (2003) have placed him as one of industry's most respected and acknowledged composers.
