Over a million attend Casino Royale opening weekend in Germany
According to reports, over 1.2 million people in Germany attended screenings of Casino Royale on opening weekend. The film went nationwide on November 23rd.
Casino Royale opened across 110 venues in the country, already taking an impressive $12,511,453 since release.
The film is currently #1 at the German box-office.
The Casino Royale road trip arrived in Berlin a day ahead of general release on November 22nd for the German premiere of the 21st James Bond film.
Principal cast members Daniel Craig (James Bond), Caterina Murino (Solange) and Mads Mikkelsen (Le Chiffre) joined director Martin Campbell at the
German premiere held at Potsdamer Platz square in Berlin. Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were also in attendance.
