Another anti-piracy raid uncovers illegal Casino Royale DVDs

08-Dec-2006 • Bond News

Thousands of pirate DVDs with a street value of more than £12,000 were found by police who had stopped a man for using his mobile phone while driving - reports icCoventry.

PCs Guy Kendrick and Adam Green were on routine patrols when they spotted the man, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, on the A444 Phoenix Way in Coventry, on Wednesday afternoon.

When they pulled him over they spotted counterfeit DVDs on the back seat, and more than 100 in the boot.

A search of a house in Holbrooks led to more than 2,500 pirate DVDs of films including Casino Royale, the James Bond movie which is still playing at the cinema.
