UK tabloid reports that The Killers may sing the Bond 22 theme

14-Dec-2006 • Quantum Of Solace

Virgin.net have reported a snippet in The Sun tabloid newspaper that The Killers have been asked to write the theme tune for Bond 22.

MEDIA RUMOUR
Indie rockers The Killers have apparently been asked to pen a track for the next James Bond movie.

The Las Vegas outfit are now thinking over whether to lend their sound to 'Risico', the next 007 film, which begins shooting next year.

A source told The Sun: "The Killers have reached the perfect point in their career to do a Bond track. They have the right sound, the right look and a huge fanbase, making them the perfect choice."

The band have had a highly successsful 2006, with their second LP 'Sam's Town' topping the UK album chart in October, while their track 'When We Were Young' reached number two in the singles chart.

Audioslave singer and former Soundgarden star Chris Cornell has come up with the theme tune for the latest Bond movie, 'Casino Royale', which stars Daniel Craig.

The track, titled 'You Know My Name', was released earlier this week.

Thanks to `Harry` for the alert.
