Casino Royale heads towards Bond box-office record, knocked off #1 in UK

Sony's "Casino Royale," which has cumed $258 million overseas and $390 million worldwide, opens this weekend in Brazil and Uruguay - reports Variety

It's won four straight weekends and is still on 7,000 screens overseas, so it's likely to overtake the worldwide record for a Bond pic soon, passing the $431 million take for "Die Another Day."

Meanwhile, the penguins of Happy Feet have knocked James Bond off the number one slot at the box office in the UK and Ireland - reports the BBC.

The cartoon went straight in at the top, taking £2.77m and narrowly beating Casino Royale, which generated £2.74m, into second place.
