Judge says 'Dr No' to lawsuit against Sir Sean Connery
Even at 76, the original James Bond can still take down his archenemies - reports the
NY Post.
Sir Sean Connery has fended off a $30 million lawsuit filed by an Upper East Side neighbor.
Dr. Burton Sultan called Connery an "ogre" who played loud music and stomped about upstairs and who helped unleash a "terror campaign" aimed at driving the Sultans out.
That included "noxious fumes, water . . . pouring through the ceilings and walls . . . and finally . . . rats," the suit claimed.
Connery countered that Sultan had kept him from making much-needed repairs and was trying to get him and his wife evicted from the East 71st Street building.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Marcy Friedman dismissed the suit after Sultan failed to reword it to make the claims more succinct, as ordered by a lower court.
Sultan's lawyer vowed to appeal.
