Q features in American Mensa poll to find film`s brainiest characters

29-Jan-2003 • Bond News

The American wing of Mensa - the exclusive club for those with a high IQ - recently surveyed Americans to find the brainiest film characters of all time.

MI6`s "Q" - who furnishes 007 with all the latest gadgetry - featured in the shortlist of the fictional film characters the US public thought would be high scoring Mensa members.

Will Hunting from "Good Will Hunting" won with 34% of the vote. John F. Nash from "A Beautiful Mind", Dr. Eleanor Ann Ellie Arroway from "Contact", and Chris Knight from "Real Genius" were also listed.

All the of Q`s competitors came from films made within the last 20 years, indicating Mensa should be recommending those people polled work on their long term memory.
