Casino Royale still #2 at international box-office
Bolstered by nine British Academy of Film and Television Arts nominations, Sony Pictures Releasing International's "Casino Royale" had a No. 2 overall weekend, grossing an estimated $11.3 million from 4,235 screens in 57 markets, lifting its international gross total to $390.7 million - reports the
Hollywood Reporter.
The James Bond adventure's two biggest markets were Italy (an estimated $2.6 million from 427 locations in the second weekend, No. 3 in the market where it has so far grossed $7.9 million) and in the U.K. ($1.8 million in the ninth weekend from 325 sites, ranking No. 5 and pushing its market gross total to $101.6 million).
