Shirley Bassey confirms Glastonbury festival rumours

12-Mar-2007 • Event

Welsh singing legend Dame Shirley Bassey has confirmed rumours she is in talks to appear at English music festival Glastonbury.

The Big Spender diva, 70, has been offered a set at the annual Somerset event in June by organisers Michael and Emily Eavis.

Her spokesman says, "She would love to play Glastonbury. We are in talks." So far The Who, Bjork, Arctic Monkey and Lily Allen have been confirmed as acts.

Bassey sung three James Bond theme songs: Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.
