Photographers sue Denise Richards for assault
Actress Denise Richards is being sued by two photographers who say she physically and verbally assaulted them when they tried to take her picture - reports the
BBC.
Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck are also suing ex-Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, claiming she and Ms Richards lied to authorities about the confrontation.
They say Ms Richards called them "paparazzi scum" and assaulted them at a Canadian resort in November 2006.
Neither Ms Richards nor Ms Anderson have commented on the allegations.
The photographers also claim Ms Richards seized their laptop computers and threw them over a hotel balcony at the River Rock resort in British Columbia.
The confrontation was recorded by security cameras, they add in papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court.
Mr Cosman and Mr Fedyck also say Ms Richards and Ms Anderson "made repeated false and defamatory statements to law enforcement and various media outlets which were deliberately calculated to embarrass, humiliate and ridicule the plaintiffs".
They also say the incident caused them emotional stress and that it caused them to lose revenue when clients abandoned them.
Richards, who starred in 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough, was working with Anderson on forthcoming film Blonde and Blonder when the incident took place.
