Daniel Craig voted most stylish man by GQ magazine

03-Apr-2007 • Actor News

James Bond star Daniel Craig has topped GQ magazine's annual list of the most stylish celebrities, with presenter Russell Brand as the worst-dressed - reports the BBC.

Conservative leader David Cameron was second in the best-dressed survey, followed by actor Clive Owen.

Prince Harry became the first Royal to be included in the poll, in 10th place.

GQ said that Craig's sharp suit worked so well in Casino Royale because it seemed "like an upgrade" of the clothes he would naturally wear.

"No Bond since Sean Connery has worn it better," the publication added.

Mr Cameron, who took over as the head of his party in December 2005, was praised as a politician "who understands the news agenda is set as much by appearance as it is by words".

There was also an acknowledgement by GQ that Brand, a presenter on BBC Radio 2, could polarise public opinion.

This was because he came eighth on the best-dressed list, as well as being the poll's least stylish celebrity.

"Some can't stick him but to others he's British exuberance encapsulated," the magazine said.

Prince Harry was described as "the sartorial world's favourite Army recruit", and was praised by the creative director of fashion brand Mulberry.

Stuart Vevers described the 22-year-old's look as "modern and classic with a hint of rock 'n' roll".
