Bond Girl Rumour #4 - Dutch actress Carice van Houten linked with lead female role

24-Apr-2007 • Quantum Of Solace

Dutch actress Carice van Houten is the latest to be linked with a possible Bond Girl role in Daniel Craig's second outing as 007 - due out on November 7th 2008.

She has just signed on to play the lead role in "Dorothy Mills" where she plays a doctor who is suspicious of the motivations within a religious community

The word on the grapevine from that production is that van Houten is currently being considered for the lead female role in Bond 22.

Carice (Anouk) van Houten was born in Leiderdorp, Netherlands on 5 September 1976. She was awarded the 1999 Pisuisse Prize, and the 2000 Top Naeff Prize for her theatre work. A day before the Top Naeff Prize she was awarded the 'Gouden Kalf' as best TV actress in Martin Koolhoven's Suzy Q. She is best known to English-speaking audiences for her role as Rachel/Ellis in Black Book (2006).

The first draft script for the 22nd James Bond film has reportedly been completed by regular scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

To put the casting rumours in to perspective, Eva Green was cast as Vesper Lynd after shooting had already started on Casino Royale.
