Ian Fleming was born on this day 99 years ago

On this day in 1908, Ian Lancaster Fleming was born - the creator of the legendary James Bond 007.

Fleming was a British author, journalist and Second World War Naval Officer. He is best remembered for creating the character of James Bond and chronicling his adventures in twelve novels and nine short stories. Additionally, Fleming wrote the children's story Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and two non-fiction books.
