Former "The O.C." actress Mischa Barton has said that she's a massive fan of the James Bond series of movies and has issued a come and get me plea to the makers of the next 007 adventure, tentatively titled Bond 22.

She said: "I'd love to be a Bond girl! I mean, what girl wouldn't - it's kind of like a dream."

If Barton gets what she wants, she'll be following in the footsteps of a host of screen beauties, including Halle Berry, Eva Green, Ursula Andress and Honor Blackman.

However, the 21-year-old actress faces some stiff competition from Juliette Lewis.

The "Natural Born Killers" star recently revealed she wants to be a Bond girl and is convinced she could give any of the previous actresses a run for their money.

Feisty Juliette said: "Can you imagine me as a Bond girl? Just give me a sword and a bikini and I'm good to go."

Another reason the actress-and-singer wants to star in a Bond film is because she has a crush on British actor Daniel Craig, the latest star to play the suave spy.

She added: "Daniel is a good actor and very easy on the eye so I'd love to say hello and give him a hand shake."
