Agent for actress Abbie Cornish denies she has Bond 22 role

The agent for Australian actress Abbie Cornish, has denied rumours she will be starring in the 22nd James Bond film.

"No, I can tell you that that information is not accurate," her agent Belinda Maxwell said today. She said she had "no idea" where the false reports were coming from - reports SMH.

Earlier, fellow Australian actress Rose Byrne was quoted on MTV News as saying her friend had scored the role opposite Daniel Craig, who will return as Bond.

Byrne said she had not been contacted about Bond 22, and then dropped a bombshell - "I think Abbie Cornish has got it."

The agent for Abbie Cornish said: "Well, I can reiterate that that's not accurate information."

Rose Byrne was shortlisted for the most recent 007 flick Casino Royale but lost the role to Eva Green.
