Exclusive: Casino Royale (1967) 40th anniversary DVD delayed until 2008

No sooner had the news got out that MGM Home Entertainment were releasing a new special edition DVD of the 1967 James Bond spoof "Casino Royale" to celebrate its 40th anniversary, MI6 has been informed that the ship date has slipped from November 6th 2007 to sometime in early 2008.

The film was originally released on 28 April 1967, so pedants may argue that the new DVD will still ship during its 40th year, even though the calendar will read 2008 - not 2007.

The release will feature a 2.35 anamorphic transfer with both Dolby Digital 5.1 and original mono soundtracks, and will include the following new special extras:

"The Making Of Casino Royale" featurette
"Bond James Bond" featurette
"A 3 Ring Circus" featurette
"More Directors, More Stars" featurette
"The Big Climax" featurette
"It’s a Wrap!" featurette
