Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra to perform James Bond theme concert

08-Nov-2007 • Event

The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) celebrates James Bond movies’ unforgettable hit themes as conductor Carl Davis and vocalist Mary Carewe invite you into a world of musical espionage, 007- style. Showtime is tonight and Saturday (8.30 pm) at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, reports Star-E.

From 1962’s Dr No to last year’s Casino Royale, the films based on Ian Fleming’s immortal secret agent, have been huge box-office successes.

Listen to the MPO presentations of Nobody Does it Better (The Spy Who Loved Me), We Have All the Time in the World (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) as well as theme songs from Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever and Goldeneye.

The audience is encouraged to dress up as the debonair secret agent, villain or glamorous Bond femme fatale. The most convincing character will stand a chance to win prizes, courtesy of Traders Hotel KL and Speedy Video.

Tickets are priced between RM40 and RM140 and can be purchased at the box office (10am till 6pm) and on performance nights (9pm). Only limited tickets are available. For bookings, call % 03 2051 7007 or 2051 7077 (fax).
