Sir Sean Connery says his body is ageing better than his mind

18-Nov-2007 • Actor News

Sir Sean Connery has admitted he is losing his memory, but fans of the veteran actor believe he is far from losing his physique - reports The Scotsman.

The former James Bond star, 77, came tenth in a list of most envied bodies, beating the likes of George Clooney, Jude Law and Prince William.

However, Sir Sean, has also revealed he relies on his wife Micheline, 78, to help him remember important facts.

"I can never remember dates," he said. "I can be out by ten years. Micheline is my memory."

Sir Sean, who did the voiceover for Scotland's winning Commonwealth Games bid, has been plagued by ill health recently. He says he will never make another movie, adding: "It's over."

However, fans clearly believe he has aged well as he beat superstars half his age to a place in the top ten male bodies.

The celebrity body poll of 1800 people was carried out for fitness experts Premier Training International.

Fellow septuagenarian Sophia Loren finished fifth in the list of women, ahead of the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston.

The most recent Bond actor, Daniel Craig, 39, topped the men's list, with former pop star and new mother Myleene Klass, 28, the best woman.
