Pierce Brosnan to face no charges over alleged scuffle with photographer

27-Nov-2007 • Actor News

Prosecutors say no criminal charges will be filed against actor Pierce Brosnan for a scuffle involving a photographer last month in Malibu - reports Mercury News.

"There is insufficient evidence to prove this case to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt," Deputy District Attorney James Garrison said Tuesday in declining to file a battery charge.

Brosnan spokeswoman Jennifer Allen said she had not heard about the decision. She said she would try to reach Brosnan's attorney to see if he had any comment.

The Sheriff's Department began an investigation after the ex-James Bond and former "Remington Steele" star got into a shoving match with a photographer on October 26 outside a Mexican restaurant.

Brosnan was never arrested.
