Roger Moore slams treatment of British troops

The British actor, most famous for playing James Bond, said he was disgusted by the lack of equipment for the armed forces.
He said: âThe way our troops are treated, I think thatâs bloody disgraceful.
âOur generals say our boys donât have what they need when theyâre fighting and they want them to go on fighting.
âItâs not good enough,â he said on Channel 4âs The Paul OâGrady Show.
The keen UNICEF campaigner, 80, said he rarely lost his temper but this was one issue that made his blood boil. He also admitted that he was considering writing his autobiography, but didnât want to dish the dirt on his four wives.
He said: âThe difficulty is Iâve been married four times and people expect me to write about my wives.
âMy only comment in the book would be, Iâve been married four times - does that make me a good husband?â
Sir Roger spoke about his close friendship with fellow actors Michael Caine and Sean Connery, although admitted they didnât get together as often as heâd like.
Although the friends met for a meal recently at Michael Parkinsonâs pub The Royal Oak in White Waltham. âIs he behind the bar?â asked OâGrady.
âBehind it, sometimes under it,â joked Sir Roger.
