Sir Roger Moore has joins Honour the Brave campaign

16-Jan-2008 • Actor News

James Bond star Sir Roger Moore has joined Honour the Brave campaign, which calls for honouring the fallen or wounded British soldiers - reports Daily India.

The 80-year-old legendary actor insists that there should be Honour the Brave medals to acknowledge British soldiers, just like America's Purple Hear award.

"If they've been killed or injured in the line of duty, in the service of their country - our country - they should be honoured with a medal," the Mirror quoted him, as saying.

"We have to look after our troops and also make sure they and their dependants should be adequately compensated financially. We must honour the brave," he added.

Sir Roger has joined the growing list of politicians, veterans, other celebrities and grieving military families to call for the honour.
