MGM claw back some of the financial losses this quarter thanks to Mr. Bond

27-Apr-2003 • Bond News

Zap2It have reported on MGM`s latest profits figures:

James Bond is paying off handsomely for MGM, who slashed its fist quarter losses by 35 percent, thanks in large part to record-breaking overseas box office numbers for "Die Another Day."

Other factors in the studio`s fiscal improvement includes a strong late quarter box-office run by "Agent Cody Banks" and increased cash flow on library DVD sales.

Variety reported that MGM is still in the red however, posting a $55.8 million loss for the quarter.
