Honor Blackman presents Guy Hamilton the Cinema Retro Award at Goldfinger reunion

06-May-2008 • Event

Guy Hamilton, the director of the 1964 James Bond movie classic Goldfinger, recently appeared at a reunion of cast and crew members at Pinewood Studios, England, where the movie was filmed. The audience watched a digital presentation of the film at Pinewood's Theatre 7, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.

The event reunited Hamilton with cast and crew from the film including Shirley Eaton (the legendary "Golden Girl"), actors Martin Benson, Margaret Nolan, Burt Kwouk, production designer Sir Ken Adam, lyricist Leslie Briccusse and many others.

The event, which was organized by Gareth Owen and Andrew Boyle of www.bondstars.com, also featured a surprise highlight for Guy Hamilton. Honor Blackman, who played the role of femme fatale Pussy Galore, appeared to personally present Hamilton with Cinema Retro Magazine's lifetime achievement award.

Lee Pfeiffer, the magazine's Editor-in-Chief said, "We were very proud to have Honor Blackman present the award to Guy Hamilton, a filmmaker who directed four of the top-grossing James Bond movies as well as many other fine films."

Cinema Retro is a magazine dedicated to honoring classic and cult movies of the 1960s and 1970s and features exclusive interviews with legendary actors and filmmakers.
