007`s BMW from `Tomorrow Never Dies` makes a star appearance at Duxford
One of the stars of the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies motored into Duxford at the weekend, reports
The Mercury.
007's BMW car was the VIP at the Imperial War Museum Duxford's Spring Car Show on Sunday (May 11th 2008).
One of the most memorable scenes from the film shows the car chase around a multi-storey car park driven remotely by Bond.
The car is the only surviving example from the film - the others were all destroyed during filming.
It comes with full authenticated certification and all the normal extras that James Bond likes.
Duxford's marketing and PR Manager Tracey Woods said: "This event saw hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles, representing the crème de la crème of automotive excellence.
"Many of the early automotive companies such as Rolls Royce also have historic links to aviation."
Hundreds of cars attended the event ranging from Porsche, MG, BMW, Rolls Royce and AC Cobra.
Visitors were able to see tanks in action as well as get a chance to take a ride in a one.
Visitors also had the opportunity to experience flight for themselves by taking to the air in a classic 1930s de Havilland Rapide, courtesy of Classic Wings.
