Daniel Craig backs Amy Winehouse 007 theme
James Bond actor Daniel Craig has said it would be "amazing" if Amy Winehouse sang the theme to the next 007 movie - repots the
BBC.
The actor has admitted he is a big fan of the troubled singer and he would love her to sing the title track to the forthcoming Quantum of Solace.
"That would be fantastic. I am a huge fan of hers, and I don't know what has been going on because I've been busy doing other things," he said.
Winehouse has been touted in recent weeks to perform the next Bond theme.
But producer Mark Ronson has said work on the song has been shelved for the moment because the singer is not ready to make music.
The pair have yet to be officially signed up for the project, but Ronson said that a demo had been produced, which "sounds like a James Bond theme".
Craig remains hopeful that the song will go ahead at some stage.
"It would be amazing if she could, she's got an amazing voice and would blend herself beautifully to this. But...we'll see," he added.
