Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car makes flying visit
Hundreds of people took advantage of the Bank Holiday sunshine and visited St Gregory's Primary School's Victorian Fair in
Chorley.
Visitors to the school in Eaves Green Lane enjoyed a range of stalls and activities but the real star of the show was one of the cars used in the 1968 blockbuster film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, based on the novel by James Bond creator Ian Fleming.
The car, which was one of four used in the film, proved to be a big draw with fans of all ages who queued patiently to have a closer look.
The fair was the culmination of a week of Victorian-themed activities which formed part of the school's new creative curriculum.
During the week, pupils took part in a national inventor's competition linked to Wallace and Gromit, broadcasted live on Chorley FM.
They also enjoyed a visit from Rock FM who were at Monday's fair and took part in video conferencing with Lancaster Museum.
