Roger Moore to leave hospital today, given the all-clear after collapsing on stage on Wednesday

09-May-2003 • Actor News

Following yesterday`s report that Roger Moore was hospitalised after collapsing on stage during a production of "The Play What I Wrote" on Wednesday, the BBC have reported that he will hospital later today.

Moore`s publicist Jerry Pam said the star had been given the all-clear after being admitted to the St Luke`s and Roosevelt Hospital.

He said Moore would be making a speech at a function for the children`s charity Unicef on Friday.

Moore was admitted to hospital at the end of Wednesday`s show with respiratory problems after falling over during the Broadway comedy.

Audiences first thought the collapse was part of the actor`s routine, but soon realised it was a genuine health scare.

Alan Alda stood in for Moore for Thursday`s performance.

Thanks to Rumpole for the alert.
