Despite official denials from Eon Productions, Aishwarya Rai says her staff were contacted regarding Bond 21

10-May-2003 • Casino Royale

Indian movie star Aishwarya Rai has resumed shooting her latest movie after recovering from a leg fracture sustained in a car accident on a film set last month.

Her agent said at the time that the hospitalisation prevented her from discussing a role in Bond 21 with agents working on behalf of Eon Productions.

The Bond producers denied their claims last month and said they had no contact with Rai, or any agency claiming to work on their behalf in Bombay.

Despite the official denials, she said some people had contacted her staff, but didn`t say whether she was offered a role.
