Sir Sean Connery`s rep denies media reports of ankle injury

16-Jun-2008 • Actor News

A representative for former James Bond star Sir Sean Connery has denied the actor is in hospital nursing a fractured ankle - revealing the star is only suffering from a minor shoulder injury, reports WENN.

The 77-year-old reportedly fell and injured himself during a game of golf in Mount Kisco, New York on Friday and was subsequently admitted to Northern Westchester Hospital for treatment.

But Connery's spokeswoman Nancy Seltzer tells WENN the accident was not as serious as it was made out to be.

She says, "I'm afraid (previous reports are) not correct. Sean Connery has chipped a bone in his shoulder and is in a sling. He tripped while playing golf and is visiting family in New York. He isn't in hospital."
