Bandaged Daniel Craig not shaken nor stirred after slicing off top of finger
As Bond, James Bond, he's tough and unflappable. And it appears some of 007's cool has rubbed off onto Daniel Craig.
Less than a week after injuring himself while filming Quantum of Solace, the Hollywood star was back in fine form at the Great British Movie Event fundraiser last night. The only tell-tale sign was a bandage on his right hand where he had sliced off the tip of his finger during an action sequence.
Craig bid and won an uncorrected proof of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone."
Bidding for the copy came down to Craig and actor Hugh Grant ("About A Boy," "Four Weddings and a Funeral").
As diners held their breath the two were locked in a bidding tussle until it was knocked down to Craig, at a princely £18,000.
Proceeds from the auction, which also included some rare props from the "Potter" film, will benefit the National Film and Television School. David Yates, director of the fifth and sixth "Potter" films, attended the school.
