James Bond costume party in Portland, Oregon on July 10

With the impending release of Quantum of Solace, the twenty second film in the James Bond movie franchise, and, in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond, Tony Starlight’s Supperclub & Lounge is holding its second annual James Bond Costume Party and Show on Thursday, July 10 in the Hollywood district of Portland.

“I’ve long been a fan of the style and glamour connected with the James Bond universe. We’re trying to recreate the feel of the old Bond films with our special show,” said Tony Starlight, owner of Tony Starlight’s Supperclub & Lounge, “This is also gives homage to an amazing author who created one of the most enduring icons of literature and cinema.”

The show will feature not only Tony Starlight but also vocalists Barbara Ayars and Karla Harris. A six-piece super group featuring James M. Gregg and Bo Ayars will back them.

According to Starlight, “We will perform all of the great James Bond themes, including Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, From Russia With Love, Diamonds Are Forever, Nobody Does It Better and many more. We will celebrate the style and the glamour of the world's greatest spy. Martinis, tuxedos, hot babes, super villains, gadgets, henchmen, great music and hot babes. And don't forget hot babes.”

It is recommended that when you attend the James Bond Costume Party and Show, a visit to AlexSandra's Vintage Emporium at 6726 N Interstate Avenue in Portland should be on your list to acquire the best attire to win either the Best Bond, Best Villain, Best Henchman, Best Good Girl, or Best Bad Girl costume contests.
